Nature gathered, prepared, and woven by hand.

My pine needle art is a reflection of my deep reverence for nature and the quiet beauty found in its simplest forms.

Each creation begins with a mindful walk through the forest, where I carefully gather fallen longleaf pine needles — never taking more than nature offers. Once collected, the needles are cleaned, sorted, and hand-dyed in rich, earthy tones to enhance their natural warmth and texture.

Using a combination of timeless coiling and stitching techniques, I weave the prepared needles into sculptural forms that echo the curves and balance of the natural world. As each piece takes shape, I incorporate complementary materials such as deer antlers, driftwood, hand-turned native woods crafted on a lathe, and other found elements that lend character and depth.

Each finished work represents a harmonious union between the earth’s raw beauty and my creative spirit. My process is both meditative and deeply personal — a way to honor the materials, the land they come from, and the timeless traditions of handcraft.

Through this art form, I hope to share not only the beauty of nature, but also a sense of peace and connection that it inspires within me.
